 It was rainy so I just stayed on my front porch and took a pictures of the first roses of the season. I was practicing the rule of thirds and playing with foreground and back ground.  trying to practice composition.

Photo Journal Part 10: A Fairy Garden

   

  My daughters were pretending to be making a movie about fairies as I practiced. This is a selection of pictures from the yard that afternoon. Some have been edited by the standard photo editor on my laptop. I hope you enjoy a walk through a fairy garden.

Photo Journal Part 9: A Walk on the Dark Side

     An experiment with B&W photopraphy. I took the pictures in color and then edited them with the standard software on my computer. The filter used was called "Warm B&W" which I liked better than the "B&W" filter. I also cropped one image and used a mirror image of another. I hope you enjoy.

I was bummed that it was raining again on my day off. My wife told me to just go back out and take some picture of the rose bushes. I'm glad she did. I hope you enjoy.
